It's an interesting application for Botox, which is often touted as the modern-day aspirin or antibiotics in that it has multiple uses. Often referred to as a post Y2K miracle drug, Botox is being tested as a treatment for asthma and depression and is FDA-approved for excessive sweating, migraines, and even incontinence.
It's an interesting discovery that Botox may help with facial scars. But will providers and patients make the switch from laser skin treatments, microneedling, and light therapies that are currently used for scar reduction?
